How long does your order sit in our system before we ship it:Some companies have a precise (and rigid) cutoff time for processing orders each day. We don't; we make every effort to ship products the same or next business day whenever possible and we constantly accept and input new orders throughout the business day.
There are some practical limits, however. We only process orders during our hours of operation and orders that come in late in the afternoon may or may not make it out the door. In addition, orders received from Friday evening through Sunday evening won't be shipped until Monday. Please keep these limits in mind, especially if you've chosen air shipping and need the product in a hurry.
Overseas shipmentsOur order entry system now computes shipping charges for overseas shipments automatically; simply select your country from the drop-down box and choose US Post Office Global Express Mail as the shipping method. Import duties are the responsibility of the recipient. Shipments to AK, HI, PR, and APO/FPO addressesThese destinations may require manual re-computation of shipping. We will email you with any changes in shipping cost based on this recomputation and will not bill your credit card nor ship your order until you authorize us to do so Shipping ProblemsIt is our policy to resolve shipping problems promptly and courteously. If your order hasn't arrived in a reasonable time based on your shipping method and location, please let us know ASAP by email (preferred) or phone.Don't wait to notify us; unless you've heard otherwise from us, ground shipments to US destinations should arrive within 7-8 business days (Ground and 3-day arrival times are not guaranteed and holiday shipments can take longer, but this is a good rule of thumb). We will always send you an email if we know a shipment is going to be delayed; So, if you have any concerns, please get in touch right away. A word about shipping weightsAntique products carry a weight of 12 lbs. Non-antique products usually carry a weight of 2 lbs, unless they are unusually large/heavy. This means that a cordless phone, for instance, would cost $9.75 to ship and two cordless phones would only cost $11.75. A typical antique would cost $19.75 to ship.
These "weights" are actually weighting factors used in our shipping formulae and don't necessarily correspond to actual product weights. |
