Now this is American ingenuity at it's best. This was designed for use in train station ticket counters, and offices where space was an issue. Most of these were mounted on a sisors gate so they could be swung out of the way when not in use. There were many manufacturers of this space saving type phone. They had no ringers and were for outbound calls only but ringer banks were used under the desk if one wanted it to ring. They were made from 1937-1956. They were made by Automatic Electric,Kellogg Switchboard and Electric,Stromberg Carlson and Western Electric. Truly unique and a great addition to an antique telephone collection.. Didn't ring -- add $16 for a ringer

  • Mini-phone once used in department stores
  • Doesn't ring
  • May be avail in ivory, gold, beige, black, white
